The steel sandwich panel is a bimetallic composite board with the insulation layer as the middle layer, which is usually used for wall and roof enclosure systems in industrial plants, logistics warehouses and integrated houses.
The steel sandwich panel is made of two layers of steel sheets and a middle layer of polymer insulation core. Steel sandwich panel is common used in the construction of building, which not only has good flame retardancy and sound insulation, but also is environmentally friendly and efficient. It has the characteristics of easy installation, light weight, environmental protection and high efficiency.
The core materials used in steel sandwich panels mainly include hard polyurethane, glass fiber, rock wool, and so on. The demand for polyurethane sandwich panels is increasing in industrial systems, especially for cold storage projects. PUR and PIR are two chemical composition structures of polyurethane rigid foam, with a wide range of applications.
The glass fiber is suitable for low-temperature insulation, indoor sound insulation, and sound absorption. Cost of the glass fiber is relatively low and the price is economical. The steel sandwich panels with the glass fiber as the core material are suitable for residential and general buildings for the economical price and easy installation.
Rock wool belongs to Class A non-combustible materials, with a maximum operating temperature of 700 ℃ and better fire resistance than glass wool. Rock wool is suitable for high temperature insulation, fire insulation, superior fire resistance. The steel sandwich panels with the rock wool as the core material are suitable for high-rise buildings and places with special fire protection requirements. Cost of rock wool is relatively high and expensive, but its fire resistance and mechanical strength make it more advantageous in certain applications.
Thickness of the insulation layer includes 50/75/100/150mm.
